Carved Critter Wooden Box
Found at an estate sale, this box may well have been made in Central or South America. It appears to be either an alligator or crocodile (you decide).
Very heavy, solid wood with carved sides and top, smooth ends and bottom. Critter forms the handle to slide the top all the way off.
The design assures that the head slides in first, leaving the tail at the far edge.
Dimensions- Outside: 10″ long X 4.75″ wide X 4.5″ tall
Inside two chambers: First- 2.25″ X 3″, Second – 5″ X 3″
